Shop til you drop at MBK, Siam Square, Siam Center, and Siam Paragon.

MBK Center, also known as Mahboonkrong, one stop shopping here in Bangkok at reasonable prices (that can be bargained). MBK shopping mall which has almost an entire floor dedicated to new and second hand mobile phone. You can find everything here; clothes, souvenirs, snacks, camping stuff, electronic stuff, camera & accessories. It takes 10 minutes (without traffic) by taxi from Silom City Bangkok to MBK, about 80 Baht or the BTS Silom Line to National Stadium.  Alternatively, you could get off at Siam and then walk to MBK passing through other malls and department stores such as Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery and Siam Center; all of which are excellent places to shop.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

BACC; a must for contemporary art lovers and free entry, various and changing exhibitions.

It’s right opposite MBK and near Jim Thompson House.

Siam Paragon

is a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It is one of the biggest shopping centers in Asia.

The Jim Thompson House

is now a museum in Bangkok. For people who are into art and architecture this place is a quite interesting place to go.

It is a complex of various old Thai structures that the American businessman Jim Thompson collected from all parts of Thailand in the 1950s and 1960s.

TESTIMONIAL

26/10/15 I have been a frequent traveller to Bangkok and having stayed at numerous hotels, and I can vouch that Silom City Hotel is without a doubt the best hotel in the Silom area. It’s truly a hidden gem located at one of the most vibrant and pulsating areas of the Silom Road. For one, the experience of the kaleidoscope of cultures captured by the hotel’s close proximity to the various places of worship and the nostalgic charm of the area surrounding the hotel is truly alluring and allows you to experience the heart and soul of inner Bangkok without any of that superficial fanfare that comes with the big name hotels. I just recently returned to the hotel and had a pleasant surprise with the newly refurbished rooms. They are simply magnificent. For the price I paid, it’s really a steal. And you get all the conveniences of a top class hotel. Clean quiet rooms, good room service, free wifi, fantastic in-room massage service, big balconies in hotel rooms, and a 7-11 convenience store at the doorstep of the hotel. And a bunch of very friendly and loving staff to see to all your needs. The service from the staff is always excellent and they never fail to impress me. For anyone who wishes to have the accommodation and service standards that match the best of the 5-star hotels but wish to pay the price of a 3-star hotel, this is the real deal! You must stay here at least once to know its majestic value. It’s the hotel of my choice in Bangkok.

21/10/15 “I have been coming on a regular basis to the Silom City Hotel for the last 9 years. I used to work on Silom Road for several years some time ago. I know the area well and found the Silom City Hotel when I next had to do some work in Bangkok. It has been a great pleasure to return each time I come to Bangkok as I have found the staff to be super helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food very tasty and will continue to stay at the hotel for all my visits in the future”.

16/10/15 There are few hotels like the Silom City Hotel. A family-run hotel that makes you feel like family. Lovely, fairly-priced rooms in every category. And a great location away from busy street noise. This is a (almost) secret gem in the heart of Bangkok.

2/10/15 As a regular visitor to Thailand and Bangkok in particular over many years we discovered SILOM CITY HOTEL soon after they had opened and finding it’s central location coupled with the very personal running of the Hotel more than satisfactory have always stayed there on our frequent visits. The refurbished rooms are now truly first class while still retaining a friendly and helpful service at all levels plus a highly competitive rate ,we shall not be looking elsewhere in Bangkok for our next visit.

26/10/15 I have been staying at the Silom City Hotel in Bangkok since 1989. I usually stay for 10-15 days about once or twice a year and each time I visit I am very pleased with the high quality service, the delicious food, and the valuable friendships I have made with the wonderful staff and guests during the lobby brunches. I always feel so welcomed by the staff and I will continue to visit this wonderful place!
